Platform Highlights

Income-Generating and Potential Income-Generating Assets

Delnorte provides a groundbreaking opportunity for owners of income-generating assets to unlock liquidity by tokenizing partial or full ownership of these assets through blockchain-based DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations). This tokenization process allows assets such as real estate deeds, trusts, or corporations (LLCs or SLLCs) to be represented digitally, facilitating the free trading of ownership interests.

Key Features:

  • Liquidity Through Tokenization: Owners of income-generating assets can tokenize their assets on the Delnorte platform, enabling them to trade ownership shares in the form of DAO tokens. This allows the asset’s value to fluctuate based on its income generation and periodic fiat value adjustments (appreciation or depreciation), much like publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).

    • DAO Integration for REITs and Fund Structures: Existing REITs and fund-like structures can extend into a DAO framework, allowing them to access decentralized liquidity and governance.

  • Governance and Profit Sharing:

    • Voting and Decision-Making: Token holders of voting shares are granted decentralized, proportional voting rights, enabling them to participate in governance decisions. This includes determining trust representation, asset management, and other strategic decisions based on majority voting.

    • Dividend Distribution: Investors benefit from equitable distribution of dividends, interest, and profits based on their token holdings, with a clear, transparent mechanism for payouts.

  • Asset Ownership and Trust Representation:

    • Ownership Flexibility: A trust or corporation tied to the underlying asset can be dissolved or transferred with a 100% vote from the DAO members, potentially through a token buyout using either Ether or DTV, allowing for a streamlined exit or transformation of ownership structure.

    • Investor Protection & Disclosures: The responsibility of ensuring compliance, disclosures, and transparency lies with the DAO creator. This includes providing necessary documentation such as management fees, jurisdiction details, and arbitration clauses, which can be accessed through the DAO’s controlled URL (DAO-url).

  • The Delnorte Issues Voting System:

    • Private Offerings & Settlements: The Delnorte Issues voting system supports private offerings and settlements for pre-approved parties, ensuring that sensitive business material and data are shared securely.

    • Project Fundraising via Secondary Token Offerings (STO): The platform introduces a novel way to raise funds for income-generating projects through STOs, where funds (in ETH or DTV) are locked in escrow until a pre-defined target is met. If the target is achieved, new DAO tokens are minted and distributed, allowing for fractionalized ownership and tradability of the project or asset.

  • All-or-None Basis:

    • Projects using the STO model operate on an all-or-none basis. If the fundraising goal is met, the project proceeds with new DAO token issuance. If not, funds are returned to the investors, ensuring a secure and predictable investment environment.
